YouTube Video Contest

 

Welcome to the First Annual, International Knucklehead Strings YouTube Video Contest. It's easy to enter just by creating a compelling 1-5 minute video about, featuring, utilizing, or talking about Knucklehead Strings.

Three finalists will be chosen from all applicants. Voting will then be taken to help determine the Grand Prize, Second Place and Third Place prize awardees.

Prizes

The Grand Prize: $500 worth of strings, shirts or picks from Knucklehead Strings.*

Second Place: $200 worth of strings, shirts, or picks from Knucklehead Strings.*

Third Place: One set of Knucklehead guitar strings, one Knucklehead shirt of your choice, a virtually unopened can of SPAM and a plastic pinwheel

 

Deadlines

Entry Deadline: February 15, 2012

All videos must be completed and entries submitted by February 15, 2012. Three finalists will be chosen and voting will take place from February 16, 2012, till February 28, 2012 on Knucklehead.com for First, Second and Third. The winners will be notified and prizes awarded March 1, 2012.

 

To Enter

STEP 1: Create an original, 1 to 5 minute video featuring Knucklehead Strings in some way. It can be funny, informative, wacky, whatever, but it MUST feature Knucklehead Strings in some obvious way. NOTE: The video MUST be original to you and not have been published previously.

STEP 2: Upload the video to YouTube. Make sure to put "Knucklehead Strings" somewhere in the title and a link to http://www.knucklehead.com somewhere in the description.

STEP 3: Fill out the entry form.

STEP 4: Tell all of your friends and family and their friends and family to "Like" your video on YouTube. Post a link to Facebook. Put it on your website. Just get the word out any way you can.


Video Requirements

So to recap, your video MUST:

  1. Be Original, be yours, and be produced for this contest
  2. Contain obvious reference to Knucklehead Strings (dialogue, shirts, packaging, etc)
  3. Contain "Knucklehead Strings" somewhere in the title
  4. Provide a link to http://www.knucklehead.com in the description
  5. NO PROFANITY, NUDITY, or OFFENSIVE REMARKS. Our family consists of all ages, including younger Knuckleheads. All entries violating these will be disqualified.

 

Judging Criteria

The three finalists will be chosen by a combination of the following:

  1. Number of "Likes" on YouTube. (Note: Likes are NOT the same as views, so don't waste money on fake views)
  2. Originality
  3. How well it gets the Knucklehead message across
  4. How much Uncle Cleatus likes it.

     

Wrap-Up and Official Stuff

So, get out there and get filming, or animating, or whatever. We look forward to seeing what you come up with.
